North Gear has as a result
of its good work with Somerset County Cricket Club signed
a further County Cricket Kit Sponsorship contract with
Kent County Cricket Club.
CEO of North Gear, Kim Williams: “Somerset -
winning the twenty20 cup at the Oval brought North Gear
on the map of British Cricket over night. The spunky
North Gear Somerset playing kit was recognised as a
positive input to coloured County Cricket and North
Gear did have a lot of good feed back from this event.
We have been in the Cricket for one season and already
the second County Cricket club is approaching us –
I’m delighted! - and extremely happy to see that
we are on track with the technology expected of the
clubs and on how the players want to look! The negotiation
with Kent went very smooth.”
Jon Fordham, Commercial Manager with Kent: “I
became aware of North Gear throughout the season and
I have only heard the best about the playing gear they
are providing Somerset. North Gear has a different set-up
and we expect our club shop to be doing well out of
the replica sales as well.”
North Gear will be working very closely with the Kent
players to meet any wish they may have to improve their
kit from season to season. All replicas will be made
exactly to the same specification as the players kit.
sponsorships with major County Cricket Clubs will follow.
